Compressed Air Quality and Quantity
ASCO is pleased to advise its customers regarding optimum compressed air quality and quantity for their specific applications.
Compressed air used in the dry ice blasting process must be dry to ensure the proper functioning of the blasting units. The compressed air should also be free from other contaminants like oil, dust and other foreign particles to avoid a contamination of the surface to be cleaned and malfunctioning and premature wear of various components of the blasting machines. For this purpose ASCO recommends its mobile air preparation plant AP16/MK2 which provides optimum air quality. Such air preparation plants are also used by service companies and have the advantage that they can be used with a standard air compressor.
The Air Preparation Plant AP16/MK2 is very compact and offers continuous high quality compressed air. It is installed between the air compressor and the ASCOJET. The AP16/MK2 works fully automatically and incorporates an aftercooler, a water separator, pre-filter, freeze drier and an oil filter. All components are built into a compact steel frame, on wheels and are prewired, prepiped and ready for immediate use.
